  • AzMerit Attendance, Materials, and Parent Information

AzMerit testing is right around the corner.  Please remember that attendance is very important during the state testing.  Please do not check out students early or check in late, due to the strict schedules that must be followed.

The tests are online this year, and each student will be supplied with a laptop to complete testing. Although headphones are on hand, parents are encouraged to send their child with a pair of wired earbuds, as "Bluetooth" devices do not work.

Also, students are encouraged to view and practice for the upcoming tests by going to the AzMerit assessment website.

Please click here for the full parent AzMerit letter.

  • Changes to Student Drop Off & Pick Up

To ensure all students' safety, please note the following changes to Santan's flow of traffic for student drop off/pick up.  Both Elementary and Jr. High students are to be dropped off and picked up in the west parking lot by the schools' front offices.  Please pull past the crosswalk and wait to drop off/pick up your children on the north side of the crosswalk.  Do not drop off/pick up your child on the south side of the crosswalk before you reach the crossing guard.  Also, the horseshoe bus parking lot on the southeast side of the school is for school buses only, even when there are no school buses there.  Students who participate in before and after school events should be dropped off and picked up in the west parking lot, not the bus parking lot. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe.

Click here for the flow of traffic map to drop off and pick up students.

  • CUSD Goes Paperless!

CUSD will be going paperless this year!  Progress reports and report cards can be printed from the portal.  Each parent is encouraged to activate their account at the start of the school year to ensure that they are well informed of student progress.  All school sites have a parent portal manager should you require set-up assistance or have further questions.  Portal accounts will allow parents to check their child's academic progress at any time during the school year. Please visit this link to set up your parent portal account.
