Parent Information 
 

Attention Second Grade DLI Parents:  

There will be an Update Meeting for parents of current second graders in the Spanish Dual Language Immersion Program on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 5:30 pm in the library.  Sra. Battani, Mrs. Soyland, and Dr. Bader will address any concerns and questions that were communicated by parents through the recent second grade survey. 

 
Attention First Grade DLI Parents:
On Wednesday, May 3, 2017, there will be an Information Meeting for parents of current first grade students in the Spanish Dual Language Immersion Program on the 2017-18 second grade Spanish Dual Language Immersion Program.  The meeting will be at 5:30 pm in the library.  Sra. Battani and Mrs. Soyland will provide an overview of the second grade program.  This is a required and very important meeting at which parents can bring up questions about next year's program.
 
Attention Kindergarten Parents Who Have Applied to the DLI First Grade Program:
On Wednesday, April 5, 2017, and Wednesday, April 19, 2017, there will be an Information Meeting for kindergarten parents whose children have been accepted into the Spanish Dual Language Immersion first grade program for the 2017-18 school year.  The meeting will be in the library from 5:00 pm for approximately one hour.  Sra. Moreno, Mrs. Garrison, and Dr. Bader will provide more specific information about next year's program and will have important paperwork for families.
 
Attention Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third Grade Parents
For the 2017-18 school year, we are continuing the Spanish World Language Program for all kindergarten children at CTA- Liberty. All kindergarten students will receive 20 minutes of Spanish language instruction on a daily basis. Through the CTA-Liberty Spanish World Language Program, the kindergartners will be introduced to the Spanish language at appropriate developmental levels.  The Spanish World Language Program will be introduced at first, second, and third grade in 2017-18.  We will continue the Spanish Dual Language Immersion Program at first and second grade and will expand the program into third grade during the 2017-18 year as well.
