Transportation
-
The primary purpose of the CUSD Transportation Department is to safely transport *eligible students to and from school. It takes shared cooperation and responsible actions by the bus driver, students, parent(s)/guardian(s), teachers, school administrators and the Transportation Department to achieve this goal.
The CUSD Transportation Department staff commits to providing the safest buses and best-trained drivers that our resources allow. Our drivers are required to meet training standards that exceed the requirements established by State and Federal regulations.
We rely on all of the students (supported by their parent(s) or guardian(s)) to follow procedures that contribute to the safety of everyone on the bus. We wish to remind parents that they need to continue to ensure their children's safety prior to the arrival of the bus at the stop in the morning and on the way home from the stop in the afternoon, on field trips, and on sports trips.
Under the direction of the CUSD Governing Board, the Transportation Department will continue using the *Safe Student Transportation Program on all routes/trips at all District schools. The purpose of this program is to ensure that all students clearly understand and carry out their responsibilities for their own safety and the safety of everyone else who rides the school bus.
Information about student pick-up and drop-off locations are available in your student's Infinite Campus account. Please reach out to your school for instructions on how to find and properly decifer their Transportation route details.
If your student rides a Special Needs bus, please email Dispatch for call outs or questions. For all other inquiries, please call the main line @ (480) 424-8600 or email routing@cusd80.com to send a message. Click to report a website problem.
Student safety is our No. 1 priority! Please follow your student's specific bus assignment as outlined in their 2023/24 Infinite Campus Account> More> Transportation

Superintendent's Focus On Transportation
-
Have you ever wondered what driving a school bus is all about? Join us for Chandler Unified School District's second annual "Come Drive the Bus Event” on April 6th, 2024. You will have the opportunity to learn about and drive a school bus in a fun, exciting and low-stress environment. Participants will watch a short video, then head outside to our air-conditioned buses to learn about the different sizes of buses, driver controls, and the use of the mirrors on a school bus. You will then transition to getting behind the wheel of a school bus with one of our highly qualified driver trainers. You will be driving on a short course at our facility that will include some right and left turns, stopping at a simulated railroad crossing and finish up with a student stop. We have three start times to choose from, starting at 7 a.m, but you only need to sign up for one. Each session will last approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Participants must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid driver’s license. Please bring closed-toe and heeled shoes. A light breakfast will be served. We look forward to you joining us!
Our facility is located at 3750 South Centre Pointe Parkway, Chandler, 85249. If you have any questions, please email berisha.ariana@cusd80.com or call 480-424-8600. Sign up today at our Sign Up Genius link.
